Levi Coffin, Principled & Morally Sound
William Still is known as the Father of The Underground Railroad the series of homes, hideaways, and locations that took our enslaved ancestors from bondage to freedom. This honorable Quaker, Levi Coffin was considered the President of the Underground Railroad. Mr. Coffin is said to have assisted at least a thousand black men, women, and children to freedom escaping from the horrors of slavery. Today on the 219th birthday of Levi Coffin I recognized that our ancestors couldn't have found freedom without a little help from our friends. In Levi Coffin words, my voice, Happy Birthday, sir.
