The Black Blogger Gives Thanks To Shaw University

In the capital city of Raleigh, North Carolina is a historically black university that has trumpeted the lead in bringing civil rights to not only the black citizens of North Carolina but also citizens of color throughout the world, Shaw University. On this Thanksgiving 2018, The Black Blogger recognizes that historical greatness by providing a voice to the words of two of its illustrious graduates, Adam Clayton Powell Jr., and Ella Baker. Not many know that in 1960 Shaw University was the beacon location of black change with the founding of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee. Our nation owes a debt of gratitude to this majestic institution of higher learning. My Thanksgiving salute is dedicated to Shaw University for without its ability to foster, and develop leaders where would our communities be today?
