Rest In Peace John Glenn

"Rest In Peace John Glenn, you were my friend one bad ass individual. In 1962 you were strapped into a capsule attached to a rocket bursting with jet fuel- and sent hurtling into space. No one knew the consequences of that event before the countdown hit zero. They had absolutely no idea if you would be blown to smithereens on the launchpad, or if that rocket would explode in mid-air. Yet your sense of wonder, understanding how to manage fear, and your desire to impact society made America proud that day. No one, and I mean no one human being had ever sliced outside earth's atmosphere to maneuver into an actual earth orbit until John Glenn did it in 1962."

"I'm not interested in my legacy. I made up a word: 'live-acy.' I'm more interested in living."
