On 9/30/1896, Booker T. Washington whose famous "cast your buckets" speech in 1895 thrust him to a national platform spoke of democracy and education for the Black Americans. Dr. Washington misread the magnitude of institutional racism in this nation because he felt that many whites wanted basic human rights for Black Americans. Yet, after 121 years still in so many areas of the American society Blacks still lag miserably behind. So many roads we must take to gain the journey of our true fate.
