"Our Black History Need Not Be A Black Mystery" , In His Words My Voice, Part 2 of 2, WEB Dubois
In 1907 when Jim Crow and the Black Codes were in full effect in these United States. Dr. DuBois wrote this story about an interaction related to the separation of the races and segregation. It relates to yesterday's story about the Blackman seeking to simply register or attempting to register to vote. Our history in the United States as been torn with constant strife and obstructions based on the color of our skin. That is why it is important to maintain our own black history. So in my voice, his words, our black history need not be a black mystery, Dr. WEB Dubois.
