The viewership from the 2017 Thursday Night's Patriot vs. Chiefs football game was down significantly from last year. The percentage of loss viewership was an astronomical 12% from last year's opening Thursday Night Game. That means that the NFL's viewership is down almost twenty-five percentage points over a 365 day period because the 2016 audience had a similar drop from 2015. The league owners and most important league sponsors are definitely quite concerned about this lost market share. It is most likely in my opinion that once many of these viewers lose interest it will be extremely difficult for the National Football League to regain them.
The fact of the matter is that the National Football League's administrators and owners have taken advantage of the public for far too long. They have allowed far too many acts of injustice to occur to the actual players who participate on a weekly basis. These owners and league administrators felt that they were empowered to do what ever they wanted to do and the hell with final circumstances. Well, guess what Black Lives Matter, Acting Against Injustice Matters, and ignoring these concerns to chase profits matters.
